Grand Sakura Medan City

Grand Sakura is fantastic for what it is. Don't go in expecting state-of-the-art, modern rooms, but a comfortable stay at a reasonable price. Our room was spacious, with large beds, a huge TV, a mini bar, and a decent bathroom. The decor is a bit dated and some areas appeared a bit grubby, but it appears to be more wear and tear than lack of cleaning, as most of the hotel was very clean. The staff were lovely and efficient, the location is convenient, the Wi-Fi worked well, and the breakfast was adequate. Happy to recommend this to people looking for a budget-mid-range stay in Medan.

Good hotel to stay. Even though it's not a new building, but it's comfortable. Hotel location relatively near to Medan Railway station (connected to Kuala Namu int'l Airport. Only around 15 minutes with online taxi) There are 2 hotel room buildings, front tower and back. Room where I stay is clean & the aircon is cool. Food : - Dinner : Recommended, especially when you are starving : I fu mie (dried fried noodle and mixed vegetable soup-we call it Capcay. Plating of fried noode and capcay are separated, hence we can mix directly or partially). - Breakfast : Good, as a breakfast buffet standard hotel, variety of meal. There are some recommended food to taste : - mixed vegetable and anchovies sauté - Lopis (sticky rice in triangular shape, will be mixed with grated coconut and liquid formed palm sugar. Overall, good to stay. If I have a chance to visit Medan again, I will stay there.

Good place to stay. Near the city center. But the receptionist is not too friendly. Waiting and calling him and her, but doesn't say anything until they treat you. But the F&B staff was so good with a smile and friendly.

Good hotel. Good location, the station is only 400m away. From there you can take the train to the airport, in 31 minutes you will arrive at the airport. Good restaurant with reasonable prices. Only the breakfast may not offer western people a wide choice.

Ok type. Good value for money for me. My 4 years old sun had breakfast with me every day. No issues. Need to clean rooms more deeply. The most important thing is staffs need to smile. Wherever you meet them nobody gives you smile. everybody is so serious here. Though they are ok, polite but you will definitely feel a little uneasy because they all are so serious and look rough. They don’t serve you a plate if u need. I cant eat their food everyday. If you order food from outside , you must buy a plate for you. Breakfast is okay but they use some of old food. I stayed there 9 nights…. Face this

Valau for money. Good for family and many choice for breakfast

GREAT, actually this hotel exceeds my expectation because i got the executive room for a quite affordable price. The room had ac, tv, refrigerator, and a safety bank. All the menus are affordable, even cheaper than a lot of food outside. I bought Nasi Goreng Kampung, Seafood Capcay, Corn Egg Soup, 3 Rice, all of it just for 120k, p.s : its tasty. In the morning there are quite a lot variety of foods and drinks, BUT you have to come earlier! The only troublesome thing is, its so hard to reach out to the staff that i eventually book a room using agoda, and the telephone room doesn't work. I feel it's worth it

Have a good experience here as a transit hotel before our train to KNO. The check in process is fast and easy, don't forget to prepare deposit 200K. Room and bathroom is clean also spacious. They allow us to have early breakfast to cacth up our morning train.
